Welcome to Sunrise on the Canal, a thoughtfully designed 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom waterfront home in beautiful Punta Gorda Isles created specifically for families, grandparents, and groups who want more than just a place to stay—they want a place to make memories.  Whether you're escaping a Midwest winter, gathering multiple generations under one roof, or planning a long-overdue family vacation, Sunrise on the Canal offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and family-friendly fun.

Most vacation homes focus on sunsets, but families with children understand the real magic happens "after". After the swimming, bike rides, baths and bedtime negotiations, it's time to get the kids settled into the Family Suite for a magical movie night or cousin's slumber party while the adults finally get to enjoy a peaceful evening under the glow of the lanai lights. We designed Sunrise on the Canal around the way real families vacation—creating unforgettable experiences for the kids while giving parents the chance to truly relax.

The beautifully designed interior flows seamlessly onto a spacious screened lanai through expansive sliding glass doors. This private outdoor retreat features a sparkling swimming pool, barbecue grill, outdoor dining area, and multiple chaise lounges for soaking up the Florida sunshine. As evening arrives, the pool and lanai lighting transform the backyard into the perfect setting for family dinners, late-night conversations, and relaxing after a day of adventure. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee overlooking the canal or unwinding poolside after a day on the water, the lanai is designed to be one of the home's favorite gathering places.

Boating Facilities

The home is ideally suited for boating enthusiasts, offering a private dock with water and electric service, quick access to Charlotte Harbor, and convenient access to the Gulf. Guests can enjoy watching fish gather around the underwater fish lights in the evenings, creating a unique waterfront experience right in your backyard. The property is also conveniently located near some of Southwest Florida's most popular beaches and coastal destinations. To make beach days easy, we provide a parasol, coolers, beach chairs, premium towels, and flotation devices and sand toys for younger guests.

The Family Suite 

One of the home's most unique features is the dedicated Family Suite.
Designed specifically for large families and multi-generational vacations, this room is far more than just a bedroom—it's a place where cousins have sleepovers, siblings enjoy movie nights, and family memories are made.

- Twin-over-full bunk bed & twin trundle bed
- Full-size Murphy bed
- Smart TV for late-night cartoons or films
- Large double doors for a perfect balance of privacy and supervision

The Family Suite comfortably accommodates children, cousins, grandchildren, or even an additional couple, offering a level of flexibility rarely found in Punta Gorda vacation homes. While the kids enjoy their own space, parents can relax by the pool, enjoy a glass of wine on the lanai, or simply enjoy a quiet evening knowing everyone is comfortably settled in.

Boutique Coffee & Wine Bar

Every detail of the home was designed with families in mind—including the coffee and beverage station.
We intentionally replaced complicated machinery with a simple, user-friendly Keurig system so guests can spend less time figuring out appliances and more time enjoying their vacation.

Whether you're enjoying coffee overlooking the sun rising over the canal, an afternoon tea break, or hot chocolate with the kids before an evening movie, the beverage station is stocked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and is one of our favorite gathering spots in the home.

Located in the beautiful waterfront community of Punta Gorda, your rental offers the ideal balance of relaxation and adventure. To help you easily explore the local surroundings, two Concord bicycles are provided for your use during your stay:

- Waterfront dining & exploring Fishermen’s Village
- Dolphin cruises, sunset sails, and boating
- Nearby parks and playgrounds for the little ones

Dog-Friendly Home (+$)
- This is a dog-friendly home 
- There is an additional $250 plus tax nonrefundable fee
- There is a one-dog limit, under 35 pounds
- The dog must be disclosed, and the additional fee must be paid before arrival

Pool Heater Charges and Information:
- The chlorine pool faces east
- Pool heat is an additional cost of $200 per week or $500 per month, plus taxes
- Please note that our pools are serviced weekly

Boat Dock:
- Dock size 7’ by 30’
- Dock has power, water, and fish lights 
- Boat lift not available

BBQ:
- There is a BBQ at this property for complimentary guest use
- While there is a propane tank included with the BBQ, we do not provide refills
- Guests are welcome to swap the tank at any local store
- BBQ must be cleaned upon guest departure, or an additional $56 fee will be charged

Parking:
- Parking for 2 in the garage
- Parking for up to 2 cars in the driveway 
- Boat trailer parking is not allowed

Any supplies beyond this are up to the guest to replenish; we do not restock these items. 
No salt/pepper or cleaning supplies are stocked due to safety issues. This is an industry-standard practice.

FOR GUESTS WHO BOOK 30 NIGHTS OR LONGER STAYS: (This does not apply if you are staying less than 30 nights.)
We will collect a $1,500 deposit.
Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
If canceled 90 days or more before arrival, we keep $250.00. $1,250.00 will be refunded.
If canceled between 61 and 89 days prior to arrival, we keep the $1,500.00 deposit.
No cancellation or modification 60 days or less prior to arrival.
