Updated Statements on Coronavirus

As a part of our commitment to the health and well-being of our team members and guests, we are carefully monitoring the evolving coronavirus situation. We are receiving regular updates from the Florida Department of Health, and we are continuing to implement preventative measures in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health agencies.

Governor Desantis Suspends Vacation Rentals

Florida’s Governor has issued an Executive Order that suspends vacation rentals for new stays for the 14 days starting March 27. This order does not affect current in-home guests. We know there are many people in need of private residences like ours during this time, and we stand ready to accept new guests starting Saturday, April 11.

Our guests’ health and safety is top priority. Our cleaning partners commit to following cleaning and disinfection guidelines provided by the CDC, EPA, and World Health Organization which includes thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and major touch points like handleslight switchestabletops, appliances, and electronics.

Stay At Home Order

Osceola County is enacting a stay at home order from Thursday, March 26 from 11pm until Thursday, April 9 at 11pm. Global Resort Homes will be operating with a mostly remote staff during this time. The Welcome Center will remain open until 5pm throughout the Stay at Home Order.

FAQ / Policy Changes

New Guests – Bookings from March 9, 2020, to April 15, 2020, for dates of travel between March 9, 2020 and June 15, 2020

We will offer a full refund, up until a week before arrival, for all new bookings should you wish to cancel.  We want you to book with confidence and know that we understand your concerns and will continue to monitor the situation.

What if I need to cancel my trip?

For all homes booked before March 9th, 2020 we will offer a credit for the total of your purchase price in the event you do not have travel insurance. The credit is good for a future stay within the next 12 months. Ideally, the credit would be applied to the same home however, it may not be possible in all cases.

What happens if I would like to cancel and my reservation isn’t yet paid in full?

In this case, our normal cancellation policy does apply. You will receive a refund of $250 and the processing fee will not be returned.

If you would like to reschedule: we can keep your deposit on file and you can apply it to your next reservation.

What if I have travel insurance and need to cancel?

Your policy includes all of the contact information that you need in order to file your claim.

What Global is doing:

Global Resort Homes has a high standard for cleanliness which aids in the prevention of illnesses. We have always and will continue to follow our health and safety protocols that we have in place such as:

  • Training for our team members and contractors, with ongoing reinforcement on a regular basis
  • Defined procedures for cleaning and disinfecting targeted areas of our properties and offices
  • Cleaning and sanitizing each property after guest check out, including all surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and other common areas

What you should do:

It is also important for our current and future guests to best understand how to prevent and treat illnesses. Especially those coming in from overseas or those who have recently traveled by air. Our team has been following the CDC’s everyday preventative actions to stop the spread of germs, such as:

  • Staying home when sick
  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Following proper respiratory cough etiquette
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

We will continue to adjust our operations according to the recommendations of health authorities as the situation develops.
